Fresh Innovations is a processing, marketing and distributing company based in Yuma, Arizona focusing on Green Onions.

 

The traditional process that brings green onions from the field to the market has essentially been the same for decades.  It is a process that involves a great amount of labor and handling of the product, and there are many issues to consider, not the least of which is food safety.

 

 

 

Some minor improvements here and there over the years have saved time or made this labor-intensive process smoother or safer, but there have been no successful gigantic leaps …until Fresh Innovations.

 

At Fresh Innovations, we have discovered ways to virtually eliminate hundreds of points of human contact with the product.  The few contact points that do remain happen within a packing facility in a highly controlled environment.  This greatly decreases the risk of health and food safety problems, and increases efficiencies and capabilities.  This is an important factor in a business climate where food safety concerns are critical.
